Question Bluetooth Question

Please Login to Remove!

Me and my husband both have Verizon, and both have Storms.

I connect with him via bluetooth, but cannot send things.
I tried with someone else, and cannot send anything either.

Lets say I want to send someone a picture via bluetooth. I go to pictures, then the exact pic I want to send. I click on menu, then Send VIA Bluetooth, and it starts to send, but then says faield to connect with the person.

there is a whole bt forums so you will find more advice there.. but you cant simply send via bluetooth untill you have paired your storm with what ever you want to send to.. so you go to bt options pair with the device you want to send to then you go to your picture and hit send using bt...

I pair with the device first, so the device is on my list already.
That is what I don't get.
Even with the device paired and synced with mine it wont let me do any exchanging of files, pictures, music, ect

I have not tried syncing files between phones with my Blackberry on Verizon, but I know that I had unusual results with a crippled Bluetooth stack on my previous Treo. Verizon does funky things with the firmware on their phones to limit functionality they may or may not provide for an additional fee. Good luck. Let us know what happens.

Ohh.. i think i figured it out!

When you want to receive a file, you have to sync phones, then on the phone that is receiving the file, you go to media/menu button/Receive Using Bluetooth.
On the phone thta is sending, you must go to the file/menu/send using Bluetooth.

You cant SEND a file to anyone until that person is ready to RECEIVE the file. this is obviously so you cant just send random files any time you want.
