When typing an SMS how do get the contact list up?

I want to click names from a list, because of my 300 contacts i cannot remember who to send to lol

so while in the "TO" field, how do i summon the contact list?

In the TO field, you just start typing the name of the friend who you are sending to.

If you have not moved your contacts from the SIM card to the Address Book, the open your Address Book > Menu > SIM Phone book > COPY ALL TO ADDRESS BOOK.

yes of course i can type each name and it shows up, but i decide who to send stuff to as i roll through my list hehe .. is there no way to see the list from the "TO" field?

BTW i just did that copy all contacts, what does that do exactly? Anything other than just copying them off the chip?
