Easier than you think, but not something you want to rush through. Take your time, generously apply the solution and remove/reapply if it's not straight. But when you're done, you'll love it!

Make sure this is the real one from Zagg, there are many knock offs out there... I think the one's from Zagg are more expensive because they offer something like a lifetime warranty.

Good luck!

gsontag 12-28-2008 07:04 PM

i think it was legit. as far as i know it was from zagg. but for 18$ it wont be too much of a loss if i have to buy one straight from Zagg.

Can somebody please post (or point to) a video showing the installation on a Storm? Everything I've found on the web was for other devices.

Thanks!

Does anyone have personal experience with the shield? I searched and came across this video on youtube. I was looking to buy but after seeing this I am not so sure.

YouTube - BLACKBERRY STORM ZAGG INVISIBLE SHIELD IS JUNK!

Cowboyz 12-30-2008 02:59 PM

It is not very difficult but like others have said, take your time! It took me about 30-40 mins to put it on, and then once installed, let it sit overnight. You can hardly tell anything is one the phone.

moviemogul 12-30-2008 03:49 PM

I have concerns, but ordered the screen protection.

I never peeled the clear protective film off the screen originally (a mistake I made with an iPod a long time ago - i was never able to put any film on as cleanly and bubble-free as the factory installed film). so far, so good.

So is the guy on the video doing the product review full of it? Or is he correct in saying that once the Zagg Invisible shield is on it's harder to slide your finger around the screen and lint and dust collects around the edges of the film and that there is the "orange peel" effect on the surface of the film making it give off that wrinkled appearance?

Please post your honest comments after installing this product yourself.

Oh, and I'm still using the original film that my Storm came with but it's beginning to get a little rough. Doing it's job in protecting the screen in the meantime though.
