After two phones in three weeks, hours here on the forums, hours on hold with Verizon and the newest OSs I find that the Storm is truly a disappointment to this previous BB supporter (a supporter is one who has bonded with all their previous models and can rattle off each model number, lol). Typing is a labor intensive chore (do about 50+ emails/day) and anyone that truly says that they can type faster and more accurately than with previous models is suspect or incredibly talented. Just look at these threads!!!!! Problem after problem --

My challenge is what next --- Since I have to stay with VZW my choices are limited ...the Curve, back to the 8703 or jump the BB ship and do something like the HTC Touch Pro .... and comments or suggestions?

I have been using my storm for a couple weeks now, and while I admit my typing has slowed down using it, I don't see any reason to get rid of it. but if you are going to then i would say you can go to the Curve, as it functions well.

If you're like me, you just wish you could get a bold...

I like my storm, and I don't type 50+ emails a day, so the typing isn't so bad (I'm not as fast as on my 8703, but I can live w/ the speed reduction for the other features).

Have you tried using suretype? I find I can type a bit faster since you can skip to the end of words after it recognizes them. It isn't perfect, but it sometimes helps.
