Default Got Exception: java.lang.SecurityException

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I need your help...I tried a lot to find the solution but finally not able to do…

I did a sample Application which will show a Popup Screen immediately after we reject the call.

When I am trying to load popup screen I am getting an exception on device "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.SecurityException", but in emulator it is working fine.

I did try in the following ways- to launch the Popup Screen
1. Launching PopupScreen in the different thread
2. Launching PopupScreen by using InvokeLater()
3. Launching PopupScreen by using UiEngine() object with out any thread

All above 3 scenarios are working fine in the simulator, but not on the device.

Please help me on this.

Personal Question:
is there any different between BlackBerry Storm device and simulator?
Because what ever is working in simulator, that is not working on the device.

Thanks in Advance
Ratna

@Ratna: I have been complaining about the fact that the simulators (emulators) are not accurate representations of the real devices. If you want to develop software, you MUST have an actual device. Otherwise, you just end up like a lot of developers who produce software that they think works. It is really annoying.

I can't really help you with your problem as I would need a lot more info and this is not a developers forum which is where you should be asking this question. There is a developers forum elsewhere on this site. Try there. 73
