Default 3 day old BB Storm

Please Login to Remove!

I have a few questions and have scanned this forum, but haven't found the answers I am looking for.

If I chose to make my own wallpapers, does anyone know the size or dimensions?
Any free downloads for the Blackberry? I have gone to the BB site and everything costs $$.
Thanks in advance.......

there are a lot of free downloads... check out
h*ttp://forums.crackberry.com/f134/blackberry-storm-ota-apps-thread-107305/]Blackberry Storm OTA Apps Thread - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

(dont put the asterisk after the h, i need to in order to post a link)
the first post has everything you will need. They are all OTA (over the air) apps, which means you download them right from your Storm. hope this helped!

Also, just to get you started, I recommend:
Soft Reset or Quick Pull (Run once a day)
Youtube
Facebook
AIM
Weatherbug
TalkLock (so you don't push buttons with your face while on the phone.)

Thanks for all that......
Can you explain "soft reset" or "Quick Pull"?

It emulates pulling the battery. Some people feel that pulling the battery to reboot the Storm helps things run smooth. I personally have had my Storm for a couple of months and so far the only time I have ever reset it is when upgrading to a new OS version.

I'm in the 3 day club, too, and so far, I'm beyond frustrated with the touch screen (lack of tactile QWERTY keyboard). The 8830 sucked bigtime, and the phone is light years ahead of the quality of the 8830's phone, but damned if I don't get anything but frustrated when I use this device. I'm considering switching to the Curve, but not sure.

if you're having trouble with the touch screen, check out the first stickied thread for the Storm - Settings For A Better Storm Keyboard.

When I first got my phone, I thought the keyboard was slow and the touch screen was unresponsive. Once I checked out that thread and changed the things they told me to, I've been loving it ever since. Don't give up yet, there are so many solutions to all the things that may discourage you. Trust me! =)

Lots of useful information all....I think I'm gonna like this phone. But I find the battery runs low, almost out after two days. Is this normal? Should I be doing something?

lol this just became the day 4 club!!

My battery runs low as well... i'm almost out after 1 day haha. I think it just depends on how much you use it during the day.. personally, i use it every second of every day so that might explain my poor battery life.

and welcome to the 4 day club! haha
