Default Froze up today

Please Login to Remove!

It hasn't even been 48 hours yet(Just bought it) and she froze up already... I had no choice...when a computer freezes, you pull the plug. So I pulled the battery out...is this good or bad? I figured it was my only option @ the time.

I had an hourglass show up for several mins and then a blue loading screen. Followed by a welcome screen as if it was a new blackberry account but I was able to skip it and all of my data was recovered and everything is back to normal now.

Does this happen a lot with these phones or is it defective? I know it's under warranty for year I believe. If this happens several more times, should I take it back to the store and ask for a new one? I just can't believe it froze. It's brand new.

A battery pull never hurts.

An isolated freeze up probably isn't cause for concern. If this happens daily, or several times a day, you may want to investigate upgrading to a different OS for the Storm.

I have had the re-boot problem going on for a couple of weeks now. Don't know why, but it just re-boots at any time with no reason. But, I do get an error message after it FINALLY comes back up: Uncaught exception: PushModal Screen called by a non-event thread. There is an OK button which when pressed makes the error screen go away. The crash and re-boot happen 8-10 time a day and i am about to bring the whole thing back to Verison and get another device.

A battery pull can sometimes be your best friend. The bugs in the phone will be ironed out in time... but as above keep an eye on your phone and keep it up to date... Give it a week or 2 and you will be in love with it.

8 to 10 times a day suggests you should be in the Verizon store right now lol but dont give up get a replacement and give it another try.
