So I'm learning my way around my new Storm, I just switched from an 8830. I've come across an odd occurrence with the right convenience button which is defaulted to the camera. I got the Verizon hardshell snap case for my Storm and with it installed, although it seems I have full access to the right convenience button, when I press it in, I can't get the camera to activate. With the Storm out of the case, it works fine. With the Storm in the back side of the case only, it works fine. Snap the case back together and I'm back to pushing in the button and nothing working. What gives??

So the quirk is the case not the storm! Your headline seems like its a problem with the /storm

Even stranger, when it's out of the case, the volume buttons on the right side control the volume as one would expect. So I open the music player and play a song. Out of the case, I control the volume as I would expect In the case, the volume goes to max and the those buttons now change the tracks.

Why does a case cause such problems?

It has to be the fit sounds like its too tight or cut wrong and the phone is reacting to the different pressures! If I were you I would return that case and if you want a good Hard Case buy it from seidio

I used to use the "Sheild" but found it changed color with use and age. Then dust started to build up on the sides of the Sheild strips. so I removed them got a screen protector from VZW and keep it in a belt case.

I second that assessment ishore! Those shields look good for about a day. Then with use comes a really cheap look and dust at the edges of the skin.

I use a silicon sleeve during the week and a belt case for dress up functions.

I did a lot of research on the skins and if you absolutely must go there, BSE and Body Guards seem to get the best reviews. But DO NOT apply them to your touch screen.
