Default Had my Storm for 2 days, can I play MPG?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my storm from Verizon two days ago, my husband and I each got one with a buy one, get one thing that they had going on.

Now, my husband buys movies on the internet and downloads them to his phone, but they come in the mpg file type and the Storm says that it isn't compatible. Is there anyway to get the phone to play the MPGs?

The Storm supports the following video formats: MPEG4 H.263, MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264, and WMV

I'd suggest converting the mpegs you already purchased. There are a number of converter applications available. Here's a recent thread on how to convert divx & avi files using Roxio Media Manager which is a component of the Blackberry Desktop Manager software:
divx - avi format video

You could also use a one of the converters that are recommended like the ones from:

Nidesoft
or
HandBrake
