Wirelessly posted

I got one with mine too, handy as they seem pricey.

The decision to package a new device with a holster or case is pretty much up to the carrier, provided that RIM offers them as part of the kit. Originally , the T-Mobile 8100's didn't come with a pouch, until they realized that pouching them helped a little in keeping the debris out of the trackball assembly.

VZW does not currently include a holster for the Storm. They sell them separately online and in their stores. There are a couple of different designs out there:

Vertical OEM leather pouch with swivel clip: PART#RIMSTORMPCH
Plastic swivel holster: PART#RIMSTORMHOL1
leather Sleeve: PART#SAMKNACKCAS

There's also a horizontal OEM leather pouch not offered through VZW that I'm looking at. Retail pricing is between $19.99-$24.99.
