Question Blue LED / Red LED

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,

New user. (But successfully imported Mozilla address book via Outlook Express onto Blackberry today.)

In the upper right hand corner of the Storm is a tiny LED window. Mine flashes alternately blue (presumably ) and red (presumably )

What does this mean?

thanks,
D

Although many may not use it, let's not forget the green LED used as the coverage indicator:

Flashing LED on the BlackBerry smartphone

The light-emitting diode (LED) on the top of the BlackBerry smartphone flashes different colors to indicate various states. The table below describes what the colors represent.

Color Description
Green The BlackBerry smartphone is in an area of wireless coverage.
Red A new message has arrived.
Amber The battery is low.
Blue The BlackBerry smartphone is connected to a device enabled with Bluetooth® wireless technology.

The led will also cycle green when on charge with the phone off. It doesn't flash on/off, it will cycle from off to on to off in an analog fashion.
