Not sure if helpful and I have NOT used this service, but BB has a "trade up" program that might be helpful.

BlackBerry Trade Up Program

I saw it and was impressed even though I already have the phone I want.

right now with a new contract you can get a Storm for $99. At least that's what I understood from the digital poster at the store.

I'm sure you'll find many people who will say that going from an 8130 to a Storm isn't necessarily and "upgrade".

My son bought a Storm last week and luckily I was there with him. The Verizon store employee told me that with the purchase of a BlackBerry you get another one free. Buy One Get One! Well, since my son bought the storm I got one free! Get to the Verizon store ASAP because I don't know when the deal ends!

VZ has all Blackberries buy 1 get 1 free, or buy a storm and get any BB free..of course it requires a new number for the "free" phone.

Just to play the devils advocate, Aye you get the lil unit to carry free, but then at 36.00 a month per person extra for the BB plan thats 432.00 a year or 864.00 at the end of contract.

Im sure they would love if I got everyone in my household a BB for "free" as they call it.

Family of 5 all gets "free BB" thats an EXTRA 4320.00 on top of the contract price at the end of 2 years.
