Unhappy Died...

Please Login to Remove!

today (i bought it 10 days ago), my storm (vodafone 0.141) died.

i wont boot. i tried the loader.exe /nojvm trick but nothing happened.

i returned it to vodafone GR an they will send me another one next week.

is this a common failure?

i have a 8100 for almost 2 and i think that bbs are pretty stable devices.

If you've only had it 10 days, I would return it.

It's not a common thing. Did you drop the device? Did it come in contact with moisture? What do you mean it "died?"

Do this:

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.

Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

I had the same basic issue this morning. I plugged my Storm in last night before bed using the wall charger. When I woke up this morning it was completely dead. Won't boot or react to any button presses. No idea what happened to it. I've had the phone for about a month now. Guess I will be heading to the verizon store today at some point
