Question Developing a custom templates for BlackBerry SMS application

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am planning to develop a set of custom templates which can be used while creating Sms in BlackBerry 9500 series.

Presently I have added "Use Templates" menu item to the "ApplicationMenuItemRepository.MENUITEM_SMS_ED IT" and it is coming visible while creating/editing an Sms message.

When we choose the menu item, I am showing a template screen which contains a list of template messages. But, I need to insert the selected message from the template screen into the Sms application at the last cursor position.

I am looking a way to get the handle for the Sms application from within template screen? So I can able to insert the template message into the content of the Sms application. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Baskar
