Why did BB drop the Portrait Qwerty on updates

just updated to .109

really was expecting the portrait qwerty. obviously i didn't do much research. now i read that it was on .90 only???

what gives? hopefully this option is on the official update....one day

I am running .109 and I have it. When in portrait and the keyboard is up, hit your BB button and select full keyboard. Should switch it to the full qwerty.

Paulmac is correct. I was fiddling with it when I upgraded to .109. But I didnt have any sound through the phone :(

Maybe I'll upgrade and just use a bluetooth headset all the time ;)

so they've implemented qwerty in portrait mode ? sweet....

Go to a compose message then to menu and click enable full keyboard.

That happened in the .90's brother.

I honestly don't care for it. My fat fingers simply can't make it work at an acceptable rate.

i'm running 109 and i have it. i find it very usefull for the phone app since it will only let you search thru contacts in vertical mode. so i use the qwerty for that.

You need to go into Option - Screen\Keyboard. Then scroll down to Portrait View Keyboard and choose Full Keyboard.

this sucks. my menu only shows enable multitap or enable suretype
