Do you have the "no texts from internet" feature enabled on your Verizon account?
Manage your Verizon Wireless Account, Phone Usage, Phone Plan - Verizon Wireless
A Verizon feature that disables messages from the internet coming over as a text (although intended for spam).
If so just disable the feature, resend the text and when done enable the feature again.

Are all of the mini opera versions the same? I have a Storm and latest model Opera has on their list is the 8830? I assume this is still compatible with the Storm, but just wanted to make sure.

Sorry, answered my own question: not really a storm version out yet the 8830 version works with just a couple bugs.
