Default Verizon on wrong OS ??

Please Login to Remove!

Apparently verizon has been trying to get an os based on .113 which is not very stable

while most of the other carriers have chosen .122

My guess is that now verizon is looking at .122 or higher i am guessing testing is going to be a least a couple of weeks before we see anything from verizon

My 30 day grace period is up on 4-25 so i am hoping as with others that they get on with it this device has great potential

My main issues slow sluggish i have only had one random reboot with .075
.113 is very unstable reboots lock ups and so on

I have all bloat wear unistalled flicker all the messging services except bbmessenger

So it is bascically a lean mean machine i run memory clean on just about evry use doing all this seems to make it usable battery life seems adequate

still using .075

any aftermarket Themes are memory hogs and at this time don't function well.

your thoughts

I have Verizon, with .113 loaded for a week now, and it works flawlessly. I mean it really works well. Maybe a SLIGHT delay in the portrait to landscape mode once in a great while, but it really fixed all the bugs that I had with .75. I know from using lasers in my practice that all machines are not created equal, and my wife's Storm had it's problems, but knock on wood, so far so good for mine.

I downgraded from the .114 hybrid to .113 and think that it is a very stable OS. I wouldn't be suprised if this is the version that verizon goes with. I know other carriers are going with .122, but i'm fine with whatever verizon wants to provide. Of course, I will probably load future betas as they come out anyway.

But didn't someone who knows a guy who used to work at Verizon say that a new OS would be out this week? Isn't there another thread on this already opened?

Yeah.. what were the dates? I heard 4/10(tomorrow) and also heard May 23rd and May 27th, and several people saying they heard in the next 10 days. So who really knows.

And the latest rumor was they've found some bugs and have pushed any update back for an unspecified amount of time for further testing.

FYI, it is really a RIM OS, not the carrier's.
