Tech support tells me there is no way to leave the phone in speakerphone mode for the next call. That's very frustrating for me, coming from an LG8300 which allows that. Does anyone know if there is a way to have phone always start up in speaker phone mode?

Second, is it me, or is the icon that shows when on speaker phone nonsensical? IT shows "Handset" when on speaker phone, as does the small icon next to the call timer. Seems bass ackwards to me.

I wish that when the phone is ringing that there were a "Answer to handset" and a "Answer to speakerphone" buttons. Many times I'll have my bluetooth headset paired but don't have it on my ear, then I get frustrated when I don't hear someone when I try to answer the call on the handset.

Actually it is worse than just the way it appear. I wrote some code that was supposed to switch to the speakerphone then play audio. Couldn't be done on 4.1.075 OS. I had to start the audio then switch. So, the problem is deeper than the UI. It's a bug that they probably didn't notice because of the way they implemented their UI.

I agree, I too would like to have a choice when answering the Storm...

I saw 113 the other day at a VZN store (rep's phone) and they got the icons fixed.
