Default Camera - color very purple

The colors captured by the camera/video are so purple I don't know if I can even fix them in a photo app. Anyone else having issues outside on a cloudy day? I tried both the auto and cloudy settings. I haven't had a chance to shoot anything in direct sunlight yet... results so far are woefully disappointing. I've had other cell phone cameras and their white balance was in the ballpark, if not spot on.

Interior shots w/ or without flash are dull. Turning on the flash seems to have little effect and that's for shots within 3-4 feet! Somehow the flash seems to reset the camera's shutter or aperture so much that the image is no brighter than if taken by modest interior lamps.

I haven't had that problem. TBH, my first thought was to check white balance and color balance settings but it seems like you have. You might be think about bringing it back to VZW.

Indeed, I returned our two Storms yesterday and couldn't be happier. I didn't return them for camera issues--I returned them due to daily issues with rebooting, crashing, inability to switch to speaker phone when picking up a call if the phone's screen is in landscape mode, BB messaging failures, email notification snafus that took 2 hours to resolve yesterday, kludgy interface. The only part of the Storm I like is the hardware: great screen, virtual keyboard, call quality. All it needs is a whole new OS from the ground up--not just some minor fixes around the rough edges.
