I am experiencing an annoying issue with my message alerts where in addition to receiving alerts for voicemail, missed calls, and e-mail in their respective applications, I also receive alerts in the main "messages" folder. This feature is redundant for one thing, but also annoying since I would rather not be alerted every time I receive an e-mail (and my settings say not to alert me). Does anyone know how to silence those alerts so that voicemails show up only in the visual voicemail, missed calls show up only in the call log, and e-mail alerts only show up in the e-mail icon?
I have the Curve on Verizon, and every time I get a missed call, I have to clear it from 3 different locations: Missed Call Log, My SMS Box, and my Messages box (same with Voicemail). This also means I have 3 different missed call icons on my home screen. This is redundant and obnoxious. The first time I got a missed call, it took me forever to even find where the missed call was logged (other then the obvious).
Please, is there anyway to fix this.. one of the only features I hate about my BB.
To separate your call log from your messages, do the following:
Call log > Options > Call Logging = None
