Since the Storm has Bluetooth and I often don't like cables, can I use Bluetooth to sync the device

Yes. I have mine setup that way. It was a real pain to get working, especially if you have to reinstall the Windows bluetooth stack since it won't work with many of the customized stacks. I had that problem with my HP laptop.

You need to establish a bluetooth connection with DM, then sync wirelessly through DM. in fact, if 1) your storm is connected to DM via USB, 2) its BT radio is turned on and 2) your computer has a BT stack that DM recognizes, DM should ask you on it's own if you want to establish a BT connection - at least that's the way it has always worked with me.
