I bought used BB 9530 which was activated on the Verizon network. The device works great. However, on the dialing screen at the top under my number is listed a number from 216 area code (i guess it was the number the device had while in Verizon). Is there a way I can get rid of that?

Call your carrier. When you activated the phone, that should have changed to your number.

im using the phone on GSM network.. i basically just poped in the sim card..
