Hey, I'm new to the forums. Nice to meet you all. I currently have a blackberry 8130 and hopefully will have the Storm tomorrow. I have been watching alot of videos online about the storm and the responses are mostly Iphone vs. BlackBerry chipping away at each other. I just wanted to ask the BlackBerry crowd themselves honestly. 1) Is it THAT slow as some people describe it
2) How does it compare the the BlackBerry 8130
3) Is there any major problems with it
4) Is it worth the money
and anything else you would like to put in there

I think the slowness issue might be due to two things: 1) the software being buggy since its still relatively new; and 2) for those coming from keyboarded BBs, they might feel that the touchscreen slows them down even more when typing, texting.

I'd wait a while for BB to work out the kinks.

Best bet is to mes around with it in the store and VZW gives you 30 days to bring it back. Just watch out for the OS version most store models will be running an old version of the OS.

I have both the Ipod Touch and a Storm.
I still use both. I have been using the Storm more and more to play music, especially with Media Sync.
I love my Storm. It is slower to type on than the Curve that I replaced, but I love the interface and touch screen. I think as the OS versions come along, the Storm will be a fantastic device.
I could never use the Touch for email, as I dont like the client. The Touch/Iphone has no cut/paste, which I use a lot.
I agree with SteveO86, get one and try it out for a couple of weeks. You can take it back, so you really lose nothing.
