Default dictionary help!

i hate starting new threads but i could not seem to find a solution in the two pages of threads i just read. when i type "wanna" on my storm in suretype my phone brings up "wabba" first. no clue as to where wabba came from. it is not in autotext or custom dictionary. i am trying to figure out how to access bb actual dictionary if possible, or how can i delete wabba, or how do i prioritize wanna over wabba. wanna comes up second on my list. i also would rather not turn of predictive text as i use it often.

Wirelessly posted

Hmmm, not in the dictionary. How about adding it and then delete it? Hopefully that will send it to a lower priority.

Just a guess here.

I'm not sure how you ended up with 'wabba,' but if you start selecting 'wanna' from the list instead (rather than backspacing and retyping), I'm pretty sure it will eventually move your most used selection to the top.

I typically curse like a sailor and had to add all sorts of words to my custom dictionary. For a while 'shut' and 'duck' would come up, but now when I type those words, the phone doesn't try to change them anymore.

You could add "wanna" to your custom dictionary. Options>custom dictionary>menu>new I not sure if that will help, but maybe...

I agree with adorkable. It should remember which word you choose more often.

tried adding to custom and deleting it that didnt work, i have wanna added to custom dictionary still making it second priority, not sure how i got wabba either i think it was in the phone somehow, or i typed to fast and wasnt paying attention because wanna is not a normal word on the phone, but i will have to start selecting wanna instead of backspacing. im not sure which one i have been doing, but hopefully that will work. thanks for replies!

I found this was true as well. I was typing the word St as in St Paul a number of times and my BB moved it ahead of "at." But, after selecting from the list, it was moved back ahead of "St."
