Default .132 Official?

Please Login to Remove!

Blackberry Wiki has a link for 9530's .132 listed as an official release. Would there be an 'official' release so soon after .122?

Official, yeah, right.
I guess RIM and the carriers just decided to use Rapidshare and Megaupload as their distribution method now.

My error - it's just 'most current' not official. Mea culpa.

Default Differences

What are the differences between OS .113 and OS .132? I am trying to figure out which one to upgrade to, I am currently using .75 and I am experiencing some lag and I am having to rip out the battery about once a day. If anyone can help out with this I will greatly appreaciate any help. Thank you in advance.

I think its the fastest I have used as well, but seems to get sluggish more quickly than .113 did. At least thats the way my mind perceives it.

Official or not, its the most stable OS I've installed since .76. Of course I used the .90 radio files, and all is well. I installed it on Friday and only needed to do a battery pull once, because the screen wouldnt dim after the set amount of time. I should've done a battery pull anyways once the OS was installed, so I guess this makes up for it.

i feel like it does the same against .122 so you're not alone buddy. However, it's still better than most older versions IMO.

Here is my evolution through the official releases then the betas:

.65 > .75 > .99 > .103 > .132

.65 was simply a joke. .75 was buggy for me. Life simply became wonderful with the betas. .99 thru .132 brought stability and several cool features not available in the official releases.

But let's be clear. NONE of the betas bring speed or faster booting. The betas bring stability and extra features. Weekly battery pulls and clearing the event logs are still necessary to keep your BB chugging along happily. If you are thinking phone operation will improve by leaps and bounds with OS upgrades, get those thoughts out of your mind. Such improvements will only come with a newer generation phone.

RIM is probably closing in on the gold code for the Storm. I am thinking it will be in the realm of the .170's. Ill be surprise if the current generation breaks the .200's.
