Please Login to Remove!

Ive tried searching around the forums for a good answer with no luck. With the OS upgrades I keep reading things like "its not holding EDGE?" What is EDGE? Please forgive my ignorance, I'm just looking for a simple answer............ Thanks

Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution (EDGE). EDGE is a technology promoted by Ericsson for high speed data transfer over existing GSM networks, without the need to install new hardware.

EDGE networks should allow speeds of up to 384 Kbps or higher.

As you are a Verizon customer, you do not need to worry about EDGE. Simply ignore threads of that nature.

To add to what dc/dc stated, you will see 1X or 1XEV in place of where others will see EDGE.
