I have a question, I am thinking about using my Storm as a part time modem for road trips. Would you be able to stream a webcam per se? Does anyone have any insite on this?

A few of things:

1. You will need to pay Verizon $15/mo. to be able to tether
2. You are capped at 5 GB of data transfer per month
3. Streaming and web cam will eat your data transfer allotment very quickly, so be careful

Now I only plan on using this like only 4 times a month or so for the 12 hours I am at work on nights so I can access all of the sites I frequent that are blocked on the work computer like MSN messenger, YIM, and every streaming site out there. So I hope I don't kill my cap too quickly.

Unfortunately, this software does not remove the 5GB cap, which is the main issue for the OP's case.

Second, Verizon does NOT have a "hard cap". The Terms of Service simply say that if you exceed 5 GB per month, they have the right to restrict your service - i.e. make your connection slower.

I use my phone tethered to my laptop all day every day and have never had an issue. I doubt using it 4 times per month is going to cause you problems.
