Default Expensive paperweight...

Please Login to Remove!

Well hell, I now have a very expensive paperweight after following the upgrade/update instructions to up date to .132.

I should have known better.

White screen with "App Error 205" then "reset" under it.

I wonder who much this will cost me?

It will cost you nothing.

Use JL_CMDER (found in the forums) to wipe out the BlackBerry.

Then reload the OS. It will be fine.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 11000 Colosol)

Shouldn't cost you a thing, wipe the device with JL and then reload the operating system. If you have issues, report here

OK...

I re-installed the .132 file on my computer and ran the loader program again. Everything ran fine after that but I had no email or apps like facebook.

So I did a restore and got everything back. Seems to be working A-OK now... glad I didn't put a 230gr. FMJ through it last night like I wanted to.

Anyone know why it unlocks the screen when I remove it from the holster? Is this a new "feature" of .132?

I am not sure about the unlocking screen situation but I am sad to hear that you had so many problems with it getting installed. I feel partly to blame since I said it was so easy. I am glad that it all worked out in the end, I think you will find that you will really like this upgrade.
