OK I am still having an issue with this and can't figure it out. I had Google Maps, and it was working fine! I updated to the new version. and now when I hit the Icon, the progress load line gets a 3rd of the was across and the App. dumps back to my main Storm screen. I deleted it and made sure all was clear off the Storm regarding previous versions. Re-downloaded the App. Same thing. Downloads and installs fine. Just won't complete the load to run request. Any ideas?

Did you try a battery pull?

Yes I have tried everything I could think of based on the various remedies I see here for various issues. It just never gets past the one third point on the loading line on it's title screen then it dumps. It is like it is at that point it is supposed to find something, and does not so it stops trying to load.

Other than a constant issue with YouTube which I have also seen reference to here, everythig else works fine.

Might be Youtube causing a conflict.

Did you try deleting Google maps and reinstalling.

Or deleting YT and then installing Googlemaps?

Is the version of GoogleMaps the version for the 9500 series?

I know it isn't YouTube creating the issue because I was having trouble with YouTube before I installed the update.

The issue with You Tube is that it loads some videos, but others give a java sort of error. Can't recall the error wording.

I have done the reload thing. As for the version, it is the version listed as that for the Storm series. It is the upgrade to the one I had previously.

Going to keep checking things. Any other ideas, feel free!

Figured out the issue. Somehow, within permissions, Location Data was set to deny. Set it to allowed and it worked. What is odd is that I gave it permissions on install, and did not have to do this correction when I loaded the previous version. Hum... Oh well... it works!
