Welcome to the forums.

That is exactly the issue. Upgrade to a newer OS and you will be very pleased

Nope, everything should copy over. Just follow the steps in the sticky at the top of this forum and you will be fine.

No, you won't lose anything, as the BB Desktop software will automatically create a backup when it installs the new OS, and will automatically restore your phone when the update is complete.

From a former WinMo fangirl, I must say this is one of my many favorite parts of owning a Blackberry!!

As MSULina stated, that will take place.

Personally, I always make a backup before an OS upgrade "just in case." I've never needed it, but better safe than sorry.

Wow, that is quite the rant. However, your experiences do not reflect that of everyone else. The OP did upgrade their OS and seems quite happy with the change.

Normal Folk?

Obviously the device isn't for you. It's not for everyone. Just like the iPhone isn't for everyone. Does that make the iPhone a bad device? No! Is the Storm perfect? No. But, this OS upgrade is a big improvement over .75. I think even you can agree with that.

i upgraded mine from .76 to .122 and the flip over time got much better. Its worth the upgrade. However, I do find an issue with the battery. Its dying much faster and i'm not running any more apps than i normally would. its odd.

Can't they just make a psychic OS?

It should flip really quickly, but only when I want it to. And it shouldn't flip just because I happen move my hands in a way that makes it think I want it to flip; it should know! Can't they make it tell the difference? Maybe some sort of brain wave monitor built into the bluetooth earpiece? </sarcasm>
