Hey everyone,

I've performed a few searches on here and Google and see that all the VZW Song ID related posts are old and/or closed. I realize that Verizon probably hasn't ported the VZW Song ID application over to the Blackberry, but I'm also surprised that there isn't a third-party application or service available - especially seeing as other carriers have the service for the same phone.

For those who are not familiar with the application/service, you basically bring the app up, and it listens to the music through the built-in microphone for about 10 seconds, then compares the signature of the clip to a database, delivering the song, artist and album name if available.

I'd love to have a similar application/service for my phone - is there anything out there yet?

Appreciate the fast reply. I actually searched for and found the name Shazam, set-up an account on their server through a regular web browser, and for some reason the Blackberry Storm is not listed as being a supported phone on their site, and it also does not appear to show up in my App World. Do you have the Verizon Blackberry Storm? Is there an alternate method of obtaining this application that I'm just missing? Thanks again!

(P.S. I just noticed that you're using the 8830 [which IS listed as being supported] on Sprint!)

The funny part is that VZW Song ID actually USES the Shazam service for its backend processing. I hope they port it to the Blackberry soon...I'm missing a lot of music out there. :(
