It's pretty simple actually. When you open it up and it says, "say a command," just say, "call John Smith," or the name of anyone stored in your contacts. Occasionally it will ask for verification that the name is correct, or it will ask which number to call. If it does, respond with yes or no or mobile or home.

I love using the voice dialing because sometimes when it verifies the name, it says it really funny.

You could also try Vlingo too. It can be found in AppWorld. You can use it to voice dial, email, SMS, etc. It does have a tutorial too.
