Default Running .109 - Is warranty void?

Please Login to Remove!

I need to get my Storm replaced due to a mic issue with my voice sounding muffled (as reported on several other threads). I have been running .109 for a while and was trying to hold out for the next official release from Verizon before I took it back. But seeing how .141 is rumored to have failed, I don't want to wait months more to get this fixed. I know I could wipe it and reload .75, but is that even necessary? Has anyone gotten their Storm replaced with a leaked OS installed? If so, did you get Verizon grief? Was profanity used? Fistacuffs?

For those interested, I took my phone to the nearest VZW corporate store they willingly swapped out my phone (well, technically ordered one since they were out of sock). But, they first tried loading .141 on my phone!!! So, VZW QA fails the release, but it seems some local corporate stores are trying to take care of their customers.

Once the rep told me about loading .141, I mentioned that I was already running .109 and a little scared they would not be willing to replace the phone. The rep responded that they technically aren't supposed to because it voids the "Verizon" warranty, but this is phone is a special case.

You couls always just re-install the .75 OS before returning to VZW (if you can) if you're nervous about it. I know that's what I'll do if I need to.
