Default Blackberry Maps Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I put GoogleMaps on my Storm, and I am not a fan of BBmaps, so I took it off. Well, Im quite a fan of WeatherBug, I use it a lot actually, and when I run it now it ays BBmaps has to be installed, it wont let me do anything and actually just huts WB down. So I went to BB's mobile download site to DL BBMaps OTA and when I try to DL it it says my phone doesnt have the capabilites to run BBMaps.

Any Ideas?

BTW I am running 4.7.0.132

If you have AppWorld installed try downloading it from there? I think your question might be more about the error but this might help you get WeatherBug installed.

Use desktop manager. Select Application Loader and proceed. At the step where you review what is to be installed/uninstalled, make sure blackberry maps is checked.

EDIT: I'm guessing the reason for the error thrown from the mobile site download is the version of BB maps. But I'm not sure.

Re- install the OS for your BB and run the apploader and make sure BB Maps is checked off.

BBMaps is part of the OS install. Some carriers (ATT for sure) block it.

Hi people,

strange issue for me..
i had a user running OS 4.2, i upgraded the device to 4.5 and everything is okey but the maps are gone..google maps is still there but the blackberry maps (default) is not there anymore
i ran the apploader again, checked blackberry maps but the 'blackberry maps' is not listed in the list of the features to be added during the reload.
i have even tried deleting the Blackberry Maps from the Applications list under Advanced Options, tried reloading again... it still does show 'Blackberry maps' in the list.

Any ideas ?

Regards,

My BB Maps load and has actually worked ONCE.
In Columbus Ohio....it worked perfectly.
Now two months later, I tried in Baltimore....keeps telling me it can't Get a GPS lock on a satellite
Left it on the dash while driving for about an hour and it just kept searching for satellites.....never found any though.
Something is amiss.
Glad I have a garmin....just thought it would be cool to use this....apparently not.
