Just got the option to do a wireless upgrade to 141. Worked like a charm. Much better. As a Linux user this is a godsend since you cant update via the poxy Windows desktop manager.

Congrats! I'm a Verizon user in the States and I'm able to update all the way up to .75! awesome for me! (sarcasm) Sorry for the rant, Happy to hear you're on a network that supports it's users and doesn't neglect their customers. How do you like .141? How is the radio?

Yeah, sometimes getting an OS update is like getting a new BB.

It is like a new machine.

I was really starting to hate the BB.

It is far more responsive. I would hazard a guess that the touch screen reading SW has much improved too. The keyboard doesn't revert to suretype in portrait mode at random times now. It doesn't hang as often when stormslider kicks in. It's generally much more responsive.

And I tell you something : it's better HW than the iPhone IMO. The very fact that it can multitask kicks the iPhones arse e.g I can run gps tracker in the background. OK, the SW generally is not as good as the iPhone I grant you, but 141 is a HUGE improvement over the 78 I had before.

Someone at RIM should fall on their sword for some of the SW bugs released last year. Basic stuff that drove me crazy (and some still there that still do).

Overrall it's like having a new phone.
