Default OS Upgrades

Please Login to Remove!

I have finally decided to give up on upgrading my OS on my Storm until the next major release. I purchased a 9530 to use on T-Mobile. I have it unlocked and working fine. I'm currently running .75 because it seems to be the only version with a radio that can maintain EDGE. I have attempted to upgrade to later versions of the OS. They run fine, but the radio will not maintain EDGE. I even tried .132, .141, .122, and .148 to no avail. I tried using swap a radio to change to an older radio (.90, .99, .109). They all exhibt the sam inability to hold EDGE. When I return the phone back to .75 it is slow, but the radio maintains EDGE. I've tried every setting set foward in this forum, but have the same issue. I would leally like to upgrade, but right now the steady EDGE is more important than the speed of the phone. Could it be something that I'm missing?

Minister Stanley, I am certainly not a moderator of this forum as a matter of fact far from that. However, I do visit and read threads on a daily basis. What I'm getting at is simply this, I've read a thread almost identical to this in a discussion 4 days ago. Since it has the same content, why not just append your information to there? It has a lot of great pointers on this very same issue.

I have faith!!!! .75 is slow, but quite stable and holds EDGE. That is good enough for now. Perhaps the next major release will fix the radio issue and give us a snappy OS, but if not, I'll still love my Storm.
