Default Question about 3 Network

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to blackberrys but bought the storm today which is unlocked. I'm on the 3 network in the UK but it seems as though I can't use any of the internet features. I just wondered if there was any way around this problem so I can use email & BB messenger?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks a lot in advance!!

Jamie

Welcome to the forums.

You would need a BlackBerry data plan.

You need to subscribe to a BlackBerry Data Plan for those features.

Hi guys,

thanks for your quick answers. I've spoken to 3 but apparently the blackberry price plan only works on the Bold handset and I have a storm... is there no hope for using BB messenger and email?

Thanks again.

They may not offer the Storm, but the BB Data plan should work on any BB Device as long as your account is provisioned for BB Data.

So even though the woman at 3 told me the package wouldn't work with the Storm I should try it anyway? I can't understand why it wouldn't work on all blackberrys?!

You will need to contact the previous owner. The previous owner will have to call his carrier and have them release his BIS account from the PIN of that device.

Take a look at this for future reference:
