Default Signal Strength

I have a question regarding signal strength. I notice that when I look under status, the signal strength is always a minus number. What should it be? Just curious about this.

I have 5 bars and it is usually around -60dBm

I couldn't tell you how they develop this number tho

It's correct...the typical range of Wireless signal over a network is -60dBm and -80dBm
