Default Suretype (or is it predictive text) Frustrations.

Please Login to Remove!

I have been a devoted Storm user since inception. I have two longstanding issues that I finally have broken down to ask, mostly because I thought I could figure it out on my own, to no avail.

1. When typing in suretype/predictive text in portrait mode how the HECK do you train it, or have it NOT type what you don't want it to. For example, try this: Type "Xo" as if you are sending hugs and kisses. It WILL not let you, EVEN if you hover over the letter and select the "o" it still constantly does "Xp."

2. Again in suretype/predictive text, if you are typing a word and it gives you the "suggestions" how the heck do you keep it from changing the word you are typing? Often time I find myself typing one word and it suggests all sorts of others and when I hit the "space" to skip to the next word it replaces the word I typed with it's suggested word, and I have to backspace to change it back. Is there a way to avoid this with predictive text?

Thank you all for your attention and assistance!

Pedictive text is what suretype is all about...hitting the space bar will place the highlighted text as the active text on the screen. Press the actual text area if you do not want any of the highlighted text, and the text you type will be the active text on the screen. Also you may need to try a little harder because I've type a few Xo's even got it popping up as a suggestion as well.

Wirelessly posted

I'll stick with my bold keypad that types what I type and nothing more. I didn't like the suretype from my 7100g days, so I'm staying far away.
