Default multitap keyboard with suretype

Is there any way to keep the multitap "mobile phone" key board but with t9/suretype interpretation? It's ridiculous that you get a totally non standard keyboard design for suretype with two letters per key. Much easier would be for the multitap/mobile 3x5 keypad as in standard mobiles with t9.

My last OS was 78 and it didnt have that then. I had hoped people would cry out for it, I guess I am in a minority. But 3 keyboard layouts?!?!?

What difference does it make if you have 1 layout as oppose to 3? Whether there are 3 letters on a button or 2 the concept remains the same. Suretype is suretype and multitap is multitap...they work like they are suppose to regardless...

Do you have any idea how wrong you are?

How can a keyboard with 2 keys per key be "the same" as one with 3 or 4 per key using t9?

In short : it makes a LOT of difference or I wouldn't have mentioned it....

concept, concept, concept...that's the operative term, so I suggest you re-read the post. All I'm saying is that suretype still works as suretype regardless of the layout of the buttons!

And no one denies that.

But its the layout of the buttons which causes the problems.

You do know a normal mobile t9 layout on a mobile? its the same as the multitap portrait mode layout on the BB. My point is it should stay like that for suretype/t9 too and NOT have another visual layout.
