Default Recent Upgrade = Slow Speed?

Please Login to Remove!

Hubby and I both did a recent upgrade to our Storm. And now we are getting a little timer showing up whenever we are accessing various apps. There is quite a lag in time transitioning from app to app. And sometimes I have needed to turn off the phone, remove the battery, and restart just to get unstuck.

Anyone else have this happen? And, if so, were you able to resolve it?

Welcome to the forums.

Did you upgrade the Storms to .148? I have been running this version of the OS for some time now with no ill effect. Did you perform a battery pull after the upgrade? Most times I will do 2 pulls after an OS upgrade. I would also give the new OS a couple of days to settle in. If in fact you went to .148, you will not be disappointed.

Let us know and good luck.

Agreed. A few batt pulls and it's snappy for me

I'm not sure what the actual upgrade was. It showed up a couple days ago and took all night to do something like 230 things. ???? Anyway, I'll try pulling the battery a couple more times and see if that helps. Thanks!

I've had a similar problem after upgrading to .122. I noticed it yesterday while at my younger brother's graduation after I had put my Storm on Silent.

All of a sudden, I hear music and starting thinking, "Some rude a$$ person didn't put their phone on vibrate or silent." Then I realize it was my phone.

Somehow my Storm decided to play music. At first I thought maybe the screen was clicking since I had it in my pocket. But then I remember that I always lock the screen before putting it in my pocket. The bad thing was the Storm wouldn't respond to anything, it just kept playing music like it was enjoying it. Had to pull the battery.

Then today, I couldn't click any icons, and it was constantly switching between random icons. Had to pull the battery.

Now I'm upgrading to .148. At least now I know that I'll probably have to pull the battery a couple of times.
