Default Can't disable password

Please Login to Remove!

Under options/password the password field says "enabled" and is greyed out with a lock icon on it. First time I have seen this. I now can not turn off the password protection. Anyone know why this has happened and how to stop it?

The ability to disable the password is controlled by a BES IT Policy, or by Media Card Encryption if you have the card encrypted to your device password.

Do you know if either of those pertain to your setup?

Exclamation

Did you buy the device used? If so, it could the person who had that unit before was on a BES and IT enforced the policy down. You will need to search the forums, there are instructions on how to remove the IT policy from ther unit to go back to default.

You first have to disable your encryption mode. This should do it:
Options>Memory>Encryption Mode: None

Well, not exactly "Nope". You had Media Card Encryption turned on, which is one of the things I suggested you check.
