Default Please Help-Desktop Manager not finding Outlook for Syncing- 9530 Storm

Ok...If anyone could please help me with this extremely frustrating situation, I would really appreciate it.

I recently had Verizon replace my 9530 Storm with a new unit because of the common battery drain issue. When I attempted to set up the Sync features on my new phone, this new unit was not finding Outlook 2007 (which is what I use) as an option for sync. I have tried everything I can think of short of doing a complete wipe on my hard drive. Here is what I have tried thus far.

1. Uninstall and reinstall Desktop Manager- using 4.7
2. Running registry booster to repair registry
3. Uninstalling and then deleting RIM from registry and hard drive...restarting and then reinstalling desktop manager.
4. Changing USB connections
5. Repairing Outlook

Please...can someone please give me the solution to this problem so I can get back to life? Thank you!
