Default GPRS to grps often with .122

Please Login to Remove!

Friends, just looking to see what this could be. I think this is more of the Storms' fault then T-Mobiles...

Regularly (2+ times a day non stop since .122 was installed), I have noticed that my 9530 (in GSM mode) will startup fine and be on GPRS. I am in a good area with excellent coverage. Well I will look at my berry often for messages and whatnot and will see that the "GPRS" turns into "gprs", often. When I notice this, I go to turn off the radio and turn back on, and also everytime, the device will just reboot itself. Anyone running .122, can you confirm? Also if this is the case,, will .20? fix this? Thanks!

Upgrade to 4.7.0.148 I've seen a few Storms work better on GSM with it.

My upcoming mission was to look to upgrade so I might do this, thanks Samuel 22!!

Does anyone else out there have an idea of the GPRS issue and know if a upgrade to .148 as Samuel 22 has suggested rectifies or improves? Last night my radio was just haywire going back and forth and I am looking for solid stability in GSM mode.

Well come to find out, my SIM card was bad. Replaced that and my data issues have gone away. Something told me to take it to T-Mo first and check this, glad I did. I will still look at .148 if the battery drain issue thread pans out.

I must say after going from .122 to .148, getting a new sim card, I am happy once again! I know most have reported battery draining, but I have not had that with any of my apps (see below) and have actually gained more stability with my phone radio via GPRS now. Very pleased!
