Default Adventures with Customer Support

So, as documented many places, the microphone on my Storm was cr@p, garbled and no one could hear me. Of course, when I called customer support they said they could hear me fine. On about my tenth call with a senior tech support person she admitted they had been flooded with returns on the mics.

So, I get the new one, get it activated and the email set up. No problem.

I restore from the Desktop, and the emails and texts stop showing up. The red asterisk and the ding come up, but no message is visible in the inboxes.

So, after two hours with tech support trying everything, reboots, email settings, etc they decide that, mysteriously, the second device had a hardware failure simultaneously with the restore, and that is the problem with why it won't receive emails and texts.

Yeah right. So we activate Storm 1 (with the cr@ppy microphone) and everything works. So I'm using that and speaking on speaker to be heard.

So now, they are sending me Storm 3 this week.

Jeez.....anybody out there have a better theory?
