So I went to the lake yesterday and had my storm in my backpack... well needless to say, it got wet! So it still works for the most part but the green phone button and the return buttton are not working. I can also see water behind the screen when its a white screen. Will usage of these buttons come back and water marks go away or do I need to turn it in for insurance?

Water damage to a electronic device is the worst. Take out the battery and maybe try the rice trick to draw out the water then give it a go after a couple days. With the water still in the phone it isn't going to get better.
