Default Storm OS update freezing

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade my Storm (and a Bold) and the update process seems to keep freezing. Initially, at one point, it seemed like it almost worked but I received a failure error at the end. Now, nothing seems to even get close.

When using Device Manager, it hangs at 100% here:

"Searching for available device software"

When using Loader.exe, it hangs here:

"Read device system configuration"

I also have a Bold and am having the same issue. I've tried from several different computers and even did a fresh install of Device Manager 4.7 on one.

Any ideas? I'm wondering if I should wipe it and try again (I don't have data on the phones) or if there is a better idea.

Thanks

Aaron

Default

I had this problem and I called Verizon support. They were incredibly helpful, had me dial *228 to send my settings to their data center, then walked me through the solution. It was done painlessly in less than an hour, free phone support, free call. It was totally worth it.
