Profiles > Advanced > highlight Normal > Menu Key > Edit > SMS Text.

Out of Holster : Tone
Ring Tone : Notifier _ BBPro_ 6 (or whatever you like)
Volume : Medium (or anything other than Mute)
Number of beeps : 3 (your preference)
Repeat Notification : LED Flashing
Number of Vibrations : 3 (your preference)

Set In Holster the same too.

Below all of the profile selections, you should have an advanced option.

It appears the Storm is different than what I am used to. Do you have any option to set SMS notification in either Ring Tone/Alerts or Custom Profiles?

You can set it under set alerts/ringtones.

My question is, how come when you look into a contact it doesn't show what custom ringtone that you have it set for? If you click on ringtone to set it then it shows, but it doesn't show when you are just viewing their profile. Any ideas or fixes for this?

Click Sounds on the home screen, scroll down to Set Ring Tones/Alerts and you can change them there.
