I have been trying to use BB Desktop Manager to do a backup, but it seems to barf on the stupidest things - this time it's "ZDNet Mobile Reader ads".

I have tried everything short of deleting the application to bypass this. Why does the backup fail on something it can't resolve rather than just skipping that component? How can I get a backup done?

Sometimes if you clear your Browser history that can help. open your Browser- than click on (BB button) select Options-cache operations and clear each one or try one at a time. Good luck
