Hello,

How can I stop my phone from interrupting (and subsequently stopping) a song that I am listening to when I get an email/text/MMS?

It also seems to stop playing between songs when it's on random mode, when I go to my player it shows "pause" as an option on the music controller which indicates that the song is "playing" Then when I press it it indicates that the song is "paused" and when I press it again it is some length into the song already (as it apparenly had been playing without my hearing it).

I find it terribly annoying when my phone is in my bag to have to reach in and fetch it every time I get an email as my music stops playing.

Is there any way to avoid the break between songs? Can it play seamlessly like an (uh oh) iPod?

I have checked my options and I do not have "Auto Stop Media Player When Idle" set to "off."

What I do is set a profile so that the only notifications I get are phone and text.
That eliminates the interuptions.
If you dont need to know about calls or mail immediately, put it on silent and you wont get any interuptions.

I don't think you can stop it from chiming with new notifications. Not sure about your pausing issue.

Have been having "restart music" problem when receiving "alert" of incoming sms or mail--but only intermittently--Am using Media app. from Verizon--can't fast forward or reverse w/ this player --anyone found another app that's more sophisticated??

This is happening to me as well. But, it does not do it on every song, however, it does do it more often than not. This has started since upgrading the OS.

Anyone have any ideas?
